A celebration of Jill. As many of you know, Jillion Potter is the anchor that holds Helm together. When the team at Balam heard about Jill's decade long fight with cancer, they graciously decided to gift us this lot with the sole purpose of highlighting Jill and how much of an incredible person she is.
This lot is special, a 10kg nano lot, planted by Sebastian in his youth on his grandmothers farm. Processed as a lightly fermented washed coffee, the delicate approach yields a beautifully expressive coffee that is perfectly our style and something we just love. We have to thank Nueva Armenia, Sebastian, and Balam for trusting us with this wonderful coffee and we appreciate how special this lot is to them.
"A natural mutation of Typica, discovered near the Brazilian city of Maragogipe in 1870. The mutation causes the beans and leaves to be especially large and is due to a single dominant gene. Maragogipe is one of the parents of the variety Pacamara, and a related variety called Maracaturra."
As always, this coffee is exclusive to Helm, we love what Balam has been doing and the continued access to exceptional coffee's from Finca Nueva Armenia.
