Coffee carries the DNA of where it comes from and the expertise of who produces it. A single plot, an experiment, a lot someone kept separate because they thought it was worth it, the first harvest a producer has been able to export. Those are the coffees that give you a sense of somewhere, whether that is a place you already know, a country you have never been to, or a set of values you had not thought about before.

Imprint is for the people who want coffee that way.

One coffee a month, 200g, to a fixed number of members. In our green buying we frequently run across lots that fit outside of the context of our menu, things that are too small for release, or even just simply lots that we would like to showcase but we have reached our purchasing limit. We love to share coffee and all the effort that has gone into it. It's what we do, and the last several years we've been looking for a way to continue the share these coffee's with you. 

The coffee's chosen for Imprint aren't listed anywhere else, they don't make our regular menu, and they aren't served in the cafe. When the month closes these lots don't come back. Each release is numbered from Imprint 01 and has a page of its own, with the lot information and a brewing video filmed for that coffee.

The number of places is set by the coffee. A lot only goes so far, so the membership sits at the size the lot supports, and grows when the lots do. The sustainability of this project is simple, for both us and people we purchase from. The vision for the project is that this grows and is a space for collaboration, a showcase of the thing we all love and that is the backbone of our livelihoods. 

There are people at both ends of this. We are not special for seeing that. We are just in a position to act on it, and this is us acting on it.

Expect clarity and everything you know from our green buying style. Expression of the places and careful fermentation, from the producers we buy from directly in Ecuador, Colombia, Panama, Ethiopia and Guatemala, and as we continue to expand our buying into new regions for us. Some months the interest is the variety. Other months it is a decision made at the farm during processing, and sometimes it is something we were offered that we simply want to share with you.

When the places are taken the list stays open, Members leave, and we will back fill off the waiting list.
